CSE Supports Walking with the Wounded – Walking Home for Christmas
We here at ‘CSE’ are minded that no matter what your view or political persuasion our service men do as they are told by the politicians that we as a society choose to elect.
The second verse of Alfred, Lord Tennysons poem The Charge of The light Brigade sums up the duty that our troops do on a daily basis;
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”
Was there a man dismay’d?
Not tho’ the soldier knew
Someone had blunder’d:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred
It doesn’t matter why our troops are put in harm’s way, the rights and wrongs of it. Fact is they do so in their hearts to defend us in the United Kingdom and our way of life.
We kindly ask for you to support us and support these chaps doing their bit to raise money for the walking wounded.
This is a comment from one of the guys organising it all.
Sponsor Walking for Wounded – details
Walking with the Wounded (WWTW) recently on the Ex squaddie issue.
On the 12th Lee Dave and I supported by a cast of a few are doing a sponsored walk for the WWTH walking home for Christmas
I plan on sending this to as many people as I can and getting them to pass it on to their friends work , work colleagues etc as I can to spread the love.
They are welcome to join us, but some of the team set a fast pace. If they do join in, they should buy the WWTW fluorescent jackets , Crimbo hats etc. Followed by a few beers in Lewes ( hopefully they can sponsor us as well.)
If we get a lot of people I will have to increase the Crew of the Rations wagon at Ditchling Beacon. For those less able there is a second start at Clayton
